Netflix's Love Is Blind stars Chelsea Griffin and Kwame Appiah have announced they are parting ways.

The pair revealed the news Friday via a joint Instagram post. They had tied the knot during season 4 of the hit reality dating show, which premiered in 2023, though their wedding actually took place in May 2022 during production.

In her statement, Chelsea reflected on what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary the following week. She shared that she entered the marriage with genuine love and commitment, hoping to build a life together, but the couple has since found themselves moving in different directions.

"It's heartbreaking to share that our marriage is coming to an end," Chelsea wrote. "This is not the outcome I hoped for." She emphasized that while she invested fully in making the relationship work, she came to realize that sustaining a marriage demands more than love. She expressed gratitude for the memories and experiences they created together and asked for privacy during this transition.

Kwame released his own statement confirming the split, acknowledging it as one of the most difficult decisions he's had to make. He emphasized the life they built together—filled with moments of joy and affection—and stressed that he will always hold respect and care for Chelsea. He attributed the separation to misaligned life goals, noting that while unexpected, he believes it's the right path forward for both of them.

Fellow season 4 couple Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi offered their support publicly. Zack praised both Chelsea and Kwame for their character and kindness, while Bliss sent messages of love and strength, acknowledging the care that went into their relationship.

Zack and Bliss remain married and announced earlier this year they're expecting their second child. Another season 4 couple, Brett Brown and Tiffany Pennywell, are also still together.

The announcement prompted supportive responses from numerous other Love Is Blind alumni.
