Broadway's Elite Gather for Macy's Fourth of July Spectacular

The Broadway community joined in Independence Day festivities as the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks show lit up New York City on Saturday, July 4. The 50th iteration of the beloved annual event took place at Pier 17 and was broadcast live on NBC while simultaneously streaming on Peacock.
Tony nominee Luke Evans and Tony Award winner Shoshanna Bean were among the notable attendees celebrating the patriotic evening. They rubbed shoulders with fellow stage stars including Josh Andres Rivera, Harvey Guillen, Stephanie Hsu, and Rachel Dratch, all castmates from The Rocky Horror Show; Joey Fatone and Chrissy Metz from & Juliet; and Joshua Henry from Ragtime.
The entertainment lineup featured performances from Noah Kahan, Post Malone, Salt-N-Pepa, Bebe Rexha, Shaboozey, Blake Shelton, and The Voice season 29 winner Alexia Jayy.
The fireworks spectacle itself proved extraordinary in scale and scope. Spectators witnessed over 85,000 shells bursting across the sky in 30 different vibrant hues, complemented by a laser light show projected from the Brooklyn Bridge. The 27-minute musical score was composed by Grammy winner Jason Howland and featured vocals from Alexia Jayy. According to NBC, the soundtrack drew inspiration from "the enduring spirit of America," reimagining iconic sounds spanning more than five decades of summer classics. The orchestral accompaniment worked in tandem with the pyrotechnics and stage lighting to create what organizers described as a powerful and unforgettable celebration.
Also present at the festivities was Donna Kelce, who attended just one day after celebrating her son Travis Kelce's wedding to Taylor Swift.
