The Material Girl commanded attention on Fashion's Biggest Night. Madonna, 67, made her entrance at the 2026 Met Gala on Monday, May 4, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a show-stopping ensemble that embodied the evening's artistic theme.

The pop icon wore a custom Anthony Vaccarello creation for Saint Laurent that pushed boundaries with its theatrical elements. The striking look featured a pirate ship hat and a brass circular trumpet, paired with women in sheer blindfolds who accompanied her down the carpet to enhance the presentation, per CBS News.

Vaccarello drew inspiration from Leonora Carrington's surrealist work "The Temptation of St. Anthony. Fragment II" for the custom design, translating the dreamlike imagery into haute couture.

The appearance arrives as Madonna gears up for the release of her album Confessions II. She recently unveiled a surprise advertisement that will precede screenings of The Devil Wears Prada 2, featuring former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

The pop legend recently collaborated with Sabrina Carpenter on the track "Bring Your Love," which the two performed live at Coachella.

This year's Met Gala celebrates the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Art exhibition, which examines "the 'centrality of the dressed body' through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met's extensive collection." The theme for attendees is "Fashion is Art," with Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Wintour serving as co-chairs for the event.
