Madonna Unveils Behind-the-Scenes Footage From Star-Studded 'Danceteria' Music Video

Madonna is giving fans an exclusive look at the making of the "Danceteria" sequence from her ambitious Confessions II – The Film project.
The upbeat track appears on the pop icon's latest album Confessions II, which launched to critical acclaim on Friday, July 3. The song draws heavily from Madonna's formative years in the New York City club scene before her ascent to international fame.
The visual depicts Madonna entering a public restroom and using a hand dryer—a callback to her iconic scene from Desperately Seeking Susan—before encountering an impressive roster of celebrity faces. Among them is longtime friend Debi Mazar, who is also referenced in the song's lyrics. The pair originally connected when Mazar was working the elevator at the storied NYC nightclub Danceteria.
"F–king fabulous…that felt like being back in the 1980s," Mazar remarked after the shoot wrapped.
The segment features appearances from Odessa A'zion, Gwendoline Christie, Honey Dijon, Kate Moss, Benedict Cumberbatch, Arca, Shygirl, Richard E. Grant, and additional notable names.
One pivotal moment shows Madonna instructing the production team on how she wanted to portray passing a cassette to a DJ—a deliberate nod to handing her "Everybody" demo to Mark Kamins at Danceteria, the event that helped catalyze her breakthrough career.
The track has quickly resonated with listeners as a standout from the album. It follows previously unveiled songs including "I Feel So Free," "Bring Your Love" featuring Sabrina Carpenter, "Read My Lips" with Feid, and "Love Sensation."
