Maika Monroe Brings 'Victorian Psycho' to Cannes Film Festival as Horror Thriller Trailer Drops

Maika Monroe is making waves at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where she's showcasing her latest venture into the horror-thriller genre.
The 32-year-old actress turned heads in a crimson lace gown as she made her entrance for the Thursday screening of "Victorian Psycho" at Salle Debussy in Cannes. The event brought together her co-stars Ruth Wilson and Evie Templeton, along with filmmaker Zachary Wigon, who helmed the project.
The day's festivities kicked off with a photocall featuring the film's ensemble cast and creative team.
Set in 19th-century England, the psychological thriller centers on an unconventional governess who arrives at an isolated gothic estate. Her presence triggers a series of unsettling occurrences that lead those around her to question her true identity and intentions.
The film's cast extends to include Thomasin McKenzie and Jason Isaacs in supporting roles.
Audiences will get their chance to experience the full feature when it arrives in cinemas on September 25.
