Mamie Gummer Finalizes Divorce Settlement with Mehar Sethi

Mamie Gummer has reached the finish line in her divorce proceedings. The 42-year-old actress finalized a settlement with her estranged husband, screenwriter Mehar Sethi, 44, on Friday, April 24.

Gummer filed for divorce in February 2025, citing irreconcilable differences and listing May 6, 2023 as their separation date. The pair share two children: son Peter, 7, and daughter Mary, 4. In her initial filing, Gummer sought joint legal and physical custody of both children while also requesting spousal support and the termination of the court's ability to award support to Sethi.

The couple's relationship timeline spans several years. They became engaged in August 2018 and announced they were expecting shortly after. The pair exchanged vows in February 2019, welcoming their son two months later. Their daughter arrived in 2021.

For Gummer, this marks her second divorce. She was previously married to actor Benjamin Walker from 2011 to 2013.

Gummer is the eldest daughter of acclaimed actress Meryl Streep and her ex-husband Don Gummer. She has three siblings: Henry Wolfe, Grace Gummer, and Louisa Jacobson. Last month, Gummer attended the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party alongside her sisters.
