Marie Osmond Honors Late Brother Alan With Heartfelt Tribute
Marie Osmond opened up about her brother Alan Osmond's passing with an emotional tribute this week.
Alan died at age 76 on Monday, April 20, surrounded by loved ones including his wife Suzanne Pinegar. The couple had eight children together.
The following day, Marie posted a carousel of photos on Instagram featuring Alan alongside their other siblings—Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, and Jimmy—members of the iconic 1970s group the Osmond Brothers.
In her heartfelt post, Marie revealed what Alan's final message to her contained. "I know he's happy. The last thing he said to me was, 'I can't wait to see brother Wayne, so we can be missionary companions together and start preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who never had the opportunity to hear his message of peace and hope in this life,'" she wrote.
Marie added, "That's my brother Alan!! I love you so very much and will miss you dearly."
The singer reflected on growing up as the only daughter among so many brothers, describing Alan as deeply protective. She highlighted his multifaceted talents, including his work as a composer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist who wrote hit records and albums. Alan also produced television programs, major events, and music videos throughout his career.
Marie recounted a particularly meaningful moment when she organized a special reunion for the original four Osmond Brothers to perform together in Hawaii one final time. Alan's reaction moved her deeply. "He tearfully said, 'So you're producing me now.' He hugged me and said, 'Thank you, I get to be on stage one last time with my brothers,'" she shared.
She emphasized the determination Alan displayed during that performance, noting how he managed to leave his wheelchair and stand alongside his brothers on stage—a moment she described as "simply unbelievable."
