Matt Damon and John Leguizamo Launch 'The Odyssey' Press Tour in Miami

Matt Damon and John Leguizamo made their first appearance for Christopher Nolan's ambitious new film on Friday, June 26, arriving at a photo call in Miami to launch the press tour for the project.

The pair posed alongside a towering Trojan horse statue and greeted attendees at the event, marking the beginning of the promotional push ahead of the movie's theatrical debut in just a few weeks.

In the film, Damon takes on the lead role of Odysseus, while Leguizamo portrays Eumaeus. The project is being billed as "a mythic action epic shot across the world," bringing Homer's "foundational saga" to IMAX screens for the first time.

The ensemble cast is substantial, featuring Tom Holland as Telemachus, Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, and Charlize Theron as Calypso. The supporting lineup also includes Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Himesh Patel, and Mia Goth, among others.

The Odyssey is scheduled for release on July 17th. The film arrives just two weeks before Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which reunites Holland, Zendaya, and Bernthal on screen.

Speaking recently about the production's scope, Damon reflected on the scale of filming: "I showed up on these locations and it was like, Who f–king thought you could shoot a movie here? It's just so much bigger—it's like surfing a bigger wave. A wave that's twice the size isn't twice as powerful. It's exponentially more powerful."
