Megan Thee Stallion Gets Emotional on Broadway Stage Following Klay Thompson Breakup
Megan Thee Stallion found herself in tears on stage at Broadway's Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Saturday night (April 25), with the emotional moment quickly gaining traction across social media platforms.
The 31-year-old performer, currently starring as Zidler in the Tony Award-winning production, was captured wiping away tears in front of an engaged audience. Members of the ensemble cast could be seen offering supportive nods from behind her as she composed herself during the show.
The emotional display came shortly after Megan publicly announced the end of her relationship with NBA player Klay Thompson. Through her Instagram Stories, she detailed allegations of infidelity and relationship challenges.
"Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house," she wrote in the post. She continued, expressing frustration over his indecisiveness about commitment: "Got 'cold feet.' Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous'????"
A representative for Megan confirmed the couple's separation.
Social media users rallied around the performer following the on-stage moment, with one comment noting, "Heartbroken and having to go to work is the WORST," while another offered solidarity, writing "Bad bitches have bad days too sister ???."
Megan is slated to continue her Broadway run through May.
