Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Speaks Out on Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Video as Fans Express Worry

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has weighed in on the mounting concerns surrounding his Jersey Shore castmate Ronnie Ortiz-Magro following a video that circulated online.

The footage, captured during a recent press appearance with fellow cast members, showed the 40-year-old Ortiz-Magro appearing drowsy and nodding off multiple times as Deena Nicole Cortese spoke. The clip quickly gained traction among fans, particularly given Ortiz-Magro's documented history with substance abuse.

Sorrentino, 43, took to Instagram Stories on Thursday evening to share his perspective on the situation. "I want to be clear that I am not responsible for the actions of any other cast member," he stated. "At the same time, my heart is heavy seeing what Ron, a grown adult, chose to present during press."

The reality star, who has maintained sobriety for approximately a decade, acknowledged the complexity of the moment. "This situation is still developing, and while I do not know the full extent of what he may be going through, I do know it is separate from my path," Sorrentino explained. He referenced his involvement with The Archangel Centers, noting that he stands ready to assist if possible.

Sorrentino revealed he has already attempted to reach out to Ortiz-Magro directly. "I reached out to check in and offer my support, and I am still waiting to hear back. If he is willing, I will be there for him," he wrote. "My heart is with anyone who is struggling. I have worked hard to protect my sobriety for nearly 11 years, and I honor that every day while continuing to show up with compassion for others."

Ortiz-Magro has not yet made a public statement regarding the concerns raised by the video.

The ninth and final season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation is set to premiere on MTV on Thursday, May 7th.
