Millie Bobby Brown Recounts Her Experience Flying Tom Cruise's Helicopter

Millie Bobby Brown has quite the anecdote about her friendship with Tom Cruise.

The 22-year-old Stranger Things actress discussed her connection with the Mission: Impossible star while speaking with Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz during an appearance in New York City on Wednesday, June 24.

"He's a dear friend. He's a wonderful man and I'm very lucky to call him my friend," Millie shared, according to People. She then touched on what appears to be one of Cruise's defining characteristics—his love of pushing boundaries.

"Tom does the craziest stuff. I think he's trying to get me to somehow fly a plane at some point," she explained.

The actress has already had a taste of piloting Cruise's equipment. "I've flown his helicopter before," Millie revealed, though the experience seems to have left her hesitant about repeat performances. "I was like, 'This is the last time I ever fly any of his equipment.'"

Millie previously drew a parallel between herself and Cruise when discussing her commitment to performing her own stunts in the film Damsel. During a 2024 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she recounted her approach to the challenging physical demands of the role.

"You're just like, 'Are we really gonna, like, am I really gonna do that stunt?' And then that day they're like, 'Yep, put the harness on,' and I just, like, did the stunt as if it wasn't, you know, Tom Cruise–level stuff. I felt like Tom Cruise," she said. "In this film, I feel like the female version of Tom Cruise. I did all my own stunts from start to finish."

Cruise's piloting skills became legendary during the production of Mission: Impossible – Fallout, where he obtained his helicopter license. He has maintained his passion for recreational flying since then.

Brown is currently promoting her latest Netflix project, Enola Holmes 3, and made a striking appearance at the film's premiere after-party wearing a sheer ensemble.
