Milly Alcock Opens Up About Her 20 Tattoos and What They Mean to Her

Milly Alcock has quite a collection of ink that many fans might not be aware of.

The 26-year-old star, set to play Kara Zor-El in the forthcoming Supergirl movie, recently discussed her body art during an appearance on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals. When host Josh Scherer commented on her having "a fair amount of tattoos," Alcock straightforwardly shared that she's at 20, complete with a casual shrug and smile.

For Alcock, her tattoos represent something far more meaningful than aesthetic choices. She views them as deeply personal, particularly given the demands of her profession.

"Being an actor, my body is my tool," she said. "But also my body's in service of other people and a character and whoever I need to be."

The House of the Dragon star emphasized how her ink provides her with a sense of autonomy and reclamation. "There's something very grounding about at the end of the day, taking it all off, and it's my skin, you know?" she explained. "It's personalized to me."

For someone who splits her time between her native Australia and other parts of the world, Alcock's tattoos serve as a tangible connection to her evolving sense of self. "I think that living in a different country and traveling so much, you become this collage of everywhere that you're from and who you are in the center of that. So I think we're always in flux," she shared.

Alcock also revealed her enthusiasm for expanding her collection, admitting that getting tattooed is "just really addictive" and she intends to add more to her body in the future.

As she makes the promotional rounds for Supergirl, Alcock has been fully embracing the experience—including a memorable moment during London photo opportunities where she climbed aboard a fake train for the cameras.
