Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel Partner to Erase Over $500 Million in Medical Debt for 250,000+ Californians

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel are making headlines with a major charitable initiative targeting healthcare debt in California.

The couple revealed their partnership with Undue Medical Debt through an Instagram video posted Friday, June 26. In the announcement, the pair explained they are working to relieve unpaid medical debt for over 250,000 Californians—totaling more than half a billion dollars.

"We're announcing a partnership with Undue Medical Debt to relieve over half a billion dollars of unpaid medical debt for more than 250,000 Californians," Evan, 35, stated in the video.

The duo decided to go public with the initiative because recipients will soon begin receiving letters in the mail notifying them that their medical debt has been erased. Miranda, 43, emphasized the importance of this announcement: "If you happen to receive a letter in the mail letting you know that your medical debt has been forgiven, we want you to know, it's real."

Evan highlighted how medical debt can linger as a financial strain long after a health crisis has passed. Miranda added that the effort aims to give families the freedom to concentrate on what matters most—caring for loved ones during illness.

"When someone you love is sick, all you want to do is focus on helping them get better," she said.

A key aspect of the program is that there is no application or paperwork requirement for those who will benefit from the debt relief.

The couple married in 2017 and are parents to three sons together: Hart, Myles, and Pierre. Evan is also stepfather to Flynn, Miranda's son with actor Orlando Bloom.
