Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould Are Now Real-Life Roommates Six Years After Modern Family Ended

Six years after Modern Family wrapped its 11-season run on ABC, two of the show's stars have taken their on-screen sibling bond into the real world. Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould, who played siblings Alex and Luke Dunphy throughout the series, now share a home together.
The 28-year-old actress revealed that she divides her time between Nashville, Tennessee and California, where she rents a house with Gould. "People ask me about a Modern Family reboot, but Nolan and I are real roommates now," Winter shared in an interview. "So it's like we're having our own little Modern Family reboot, but it's just the two of us living together. So I see him every day."
Winter offered a glimpse into their daily life as roommates, describing their evenings spent together watching television. "I'm not gonna lie, when we sit there at night and we watch, like, Temptation Island together, it's pretty hilarious," she said. "So we have thought about it. We're just like, people would find this really funny."
The living arrangement comes as Winter navigates a significant personal transition. Modern Family concluded in 2020 after more than a decade on the air. While there had been discussions about a spinoff series, ABC ultimately decided not to move forward with the project.
