Drake's freshly released album ICEMAN is already generating intense speculation online, with one track in particular catching the attention of listeners who believe it targets former Toronto Raptors player DeMar DeRozan.

The song "National Treasure" contains what many interpret as a callback to DeRozan's 2018 trade from Toronto to the San Antonio Spurs—a deal that sent Kawhi Leonard in the opposite direction and ultimately proved crucial to the Raptors' first NBA championship run.

Within the track, Drake uses specific wordplay that listeners quickly identified as potentially meaningful. The phrase "spur of the moment" appears to reference the Spurs organization, while his pronunciation of another lyrical moment sounds remarkably similar to the name "Kawhi," seemingly alluding to Leonard directly.

The timing of these perceived jabs aligns with what many view as a deteriorating relationship between Drake and DeRozan. The tension reportedly intensified when DeRozan appeared in Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track "Not Like Us" earlier this year.

Drake made his feelings on the matter public during Vince Carter's jersey retirement ceremony in Toronto last November, stating he would personally remove any banner the Raptors might hang honoring DeRozan.

Some observers, however, suggest the song could simply be Drake processing shared history and reflecting on his hometown's basketball legacy rather than delivering a pointed attack.

The ICEMAN release marked a significant moment, with Drake simultaneously dropping two additional albums alongside it.
