Netflix Announces 18 Summer Film Releases Across May Through August

Netflix has mapped out an ambitious summer movie slate, rolling out 18 films from May through August with a mix of comedies, thrillers, and returning franchises.

The streaming giant kicks off the season in May with the animated buddy comedy Swapped, featuring Oscar winner Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple voicing the lead roles. Sally Field and Lewis Pullman team up for the May 8 release Remarkably Bright Creatures.

Romance takes center stage in June when Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein star in Office Romance, premiering June 5. The comedy lineup continues with John Cena and Eric Andre headlining Little Brother on June 26.

July brings the third installment of the Enola Holmes franchise on July 1, while Kevin Hart's 72 Hours arrives later that month on July 24.

August rounds out the summer with Greta Lee's sci-fi thriller The Last House debuting August 7. The dramedy Don't Say Good Luck, which stars Adam Sandler's daughter Sunny alongside Melanie Lynskey and Max Greenfield, lands August 14.

The complete May-August schedule includes additional titles: My Dearest Assassin (May 7), Marty, Life is Short (May 12), The Crash (May 15), Ladies First (May 22), Mexico 86 (June 5), I Am Frankelda (June 16), Voicemails for Isabelle (June 19), Chris & Martina: The Final Set (June 26), The Whisper Man (August 28), and The Ribbon Hero (release date to be announced).

Several additional projects are also in development, including In the Hand of Dante, The Debt Collector, A Child of My Own, and a Canelo Álvarez documentary, though specific release windows have not yet been confirmed.
