Police Report Details Emerge From Britney Spears' March DUI Arrest

Details from the police report surrounding Britney Spears' March arrest have surfaced, shedding light on what transpired during the traffic stop that led to the 44-year-old singer's DUI charge.
According to the report, the "Toxic" artist was stopped on March 4 after 9 p.m. PT following a caller's report of a vehicle traveling at high speeds and swerving. Officers observed the car crossing into another lane by approximately two feet multiple times before pulling her over.
An officer documented in the report that Spears continued driving in the second lane and did not immediately respond to emergency lights, prompting the officer to activate the siren to get her attention.
When stopped, she was wearing a worn green striped dress and purple sandals. The officer noted detecting a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage from inside the vehicle.
Spears told officers she had consumed one champagne mimosa approximately seven hours before the stop and that her last meal was ice cream at 3 p.m. that day. She confirmed taking multiple prescription medications, including 200mg of the anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer Lamictal, 40mg of the antidepressant Prozac, and 2.5 mg of ADHD medication Adderall.
During the search, officers found a brown purse containing a bottle of pills labeled Adderall that were not prescribed to Spears. An empty wine glass was also observed in the cup holder between the front seats.
The report documented that Spears had red and watery eyes with dilated pupils. She rated herself as a "zero" on a sobriety scale ranging from zero to 10. She subsequently passed two chemical breath tests at the police precinct.
Initially, Spears declined to exit her vehicle, telling officers she had been pranked and harassed previously and did not want to leave the car. She stated she wanted to speak with her lawyer and asserted her right not to exit the vehicle. After approximately 10 minutes, she agreed to get out.
The officer noted detecting the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage from her breath and person, describing her speech as rapid and slurred with an unsteady gait. The report also mentions she was fidgeting with her fingers and exhibited what the officer characterized as drastic mood swings, at times speaking in a British accent and alternating between confrontational, agitated behavior and a flamboyant demeanor.
Following the arrest, Spears' representative issued a statement indicating she would be seeking help. She subsequently voluntarily checked herself into rehab. She has since pleaded guilty to a reduced charge related to the incident.
