Joshuah Melnick Spotted Filming as Young JFK in Netflix's 'Kennedy' Series
Joshuah Melnick is hard at work on the Liverpool set of Netflix's highly anticipated Kennedy series. The 25-year-old performer is taking on the role of young Jack Kennedy for the project, and was captured filming on Tuesday, April 21.
On set, Melnick was photographed alongside actress Isabelle Harriet, whose character remains unnamed—she's credited as "Blonde Candidate" on IMDb. Behind-the-scenes shots show the pair engaged in scene work, including moments of Melnick assisting Harriet's character into a taxi and sharing a kiss before her departure.
The Kennedy series draws from the book JFK: Coming of Age in the American Century, 1917-1956 and is set to explore the family's story throughout the 1930s. The ensemble cast includes Michael Fassbender as Joe Sr. and Laura Donnelly as Rose, with the narrative centered on their nine children. The show will focus on Jack's journey as the rebellious second son attempting to carve his own path while navigating the dominance of his accomplished older brother.
Sam Shaw, the creative mind behind Masters of Sex and Manhattan, serves as showrunner and executive producer. According to Netflix Tudum, the series aims to uncover "the intimate lives, loves, rivalries, and tragedies that shaped the most iconic dynasty in modern history, and helped create the world we live in today."
Recent set photos of Michael Fassbender in character as Joe Sr. were also released earlier this week.
