How I Met Your Mother Actor Nick Pasqual Convicted of Attempted Murder in Knife Attack

A How I Met Your Mother actor has been convicted of a violent attack on his former girlfriend. Nick Pasqual was found guilty on Friday, May 8, of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a domestic partner, according to ABC7. He faces a maximum possible sentence of life in prison.
The incident occurred in May 2024 when Pasqual allegedly broke into the Los Angeles home of Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn at approximately 4:30 a.m. According to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, he inflicted serious bodily injuries involving domestic violence and used a knife during the attack.
During testimony at trial, Shehorn, who bore visible scars on her arm and neck, described the harrowing sequence of events. "I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open," she recounted. "I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there's another lock on that door."
Shehorn's friend discovered her in a pool of blood on the morning of May 23, 2024, with what appeared to be more than 20 stab wounds. She underwent 14 hours of intensive, life-saving, and reconstructive surgeries to address the injuries covering her body. She spent several days in intensive care before being transferred to another hospital section.
Five days prior to the attack, Pasqual had been booked into an Los Angeles jail but was released on a $50,000 bond. Shehorn had filed a restraining order against Pasqual for domestic violence before the assault occurred.
Pasqual allegedly left the scene and was later detained at a U.S./Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
By July 2024, according to a GoFundMe page, Shehorn was making positive progress in her recovery. Shehorn has worked as a makeup artist on films including Mean Girls, Rebel Moon, and Babylon.
