Nicolas Brendon's Handwritten Will Made Public Following His Death

The final wishes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Nicolas Brendon have come to light through newly filed court paperwork.

Brendon, who died earlier this year, had his handwritten will made public Monday, June 15, according to court documents. The brief document lists his parents Robert Schultz and Kathleen Schultz, his twin brother Kelton Schultz, and his former girlfriend Sarah Marker.

The will's instructions are straightforward: "Sarah gets nothing. Kel gets everything. He can figure it out."

Last month, Kelton Schultz filed a petition seeking appointment as the representative of his late brother's estate. The specific details regarding Brendon's assets have not been disclosed.

An estate hearing is scheduled for July 16.

The actor's cause of death was officially determined in May when County Coroner Todd Zeiner completed an autopsy. Brendon died from "atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease with acute pneumonia and previous myocardial infarction being contributing factors." In simpler terms, he succumbed to long-standing heart disease stemming from high blood pressure and arterial plaque accumulation, with a prior heart attack and recent pneumonia infection serving as additional contributing factors.
