Nicole Richie turned heads at a Hollywood premiere Monday evening, marking a noteworthy red carpet moment with her eldest child. The 44-year-old entertainer and her 18-year-old daughter Kate Madden arrived together at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles for the world premiere screening of the new comedy film Stop! That! Train!

Richie commanded attention in a navy gown accented with white polka-dots and a coordinating headscarf, while Kate opted for a sleek leather mini-dress. The mother-daughter duo posed for photographers as they made their way through the event.

Kate, who was born with the name Harlow Kate, has gone by Kate since childhood. Richie confirmed this detail in an interview earlier this year, noting that her daughter has used the shortened name throughout her life. The actress shares both Kate and her 16-year-old son Sparrow with husband Joel, whom she married in 2010.

Kate recently made headlines of her own when she attended Coachella with friends last month, marking another public sighting of the teenager.

Richie's involvement in Stop! That! Train! brings her character "Workaholic" to the ensemble cast. The film also features director Adam Shankman, who walked the red carpet alongside the actress.

The comedy follows train stewardesses Tess and DeeDee as they transition from working on the Stank Rail to the luxurious Glamazonian Express. When a catastrophic weather event called the "Stormaganza" threatens to derail the high-speed train and send it hurtling toward Los Angeles, the pair must team up with first-class attendants and President Gagwell to save the day in this campy adventure.

Stop! That! Train! arrives in theaters on June 12.
