Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley Team Up for Hulu's 'You Deserve To Know' Limited Series

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are back together for a new television project. The pair, best known for their starring roles on The Vampire Diaries, have joined forces for an adaptation of You Deserve To Know, a novel published in 2025 by Aggie Blum Thompson. The series is in development at Hulu.

Deadline broke the news on Thursday, June 25. The story centers on three suburban couples who are neighbors and close friends. When one of the husbands is killed, a web of hidden truths emerges that threatens to tear their tight-knit circle apart.

In the series, Dobrev will play Gwen while Wesley takes on the role of Scott—two neighbors whose positions on opposite sides of the murder investigation put them on a collision course.

The show hails from writer Brian Tanen, who previously worked on Grand Hotel. Production comes courtesy of Alex Cooper's Unwell and Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment.

Dobrev and Wesley's history together spans six seasons of The Vampire Diaries, which ran on The CW from 2009 through 2017. Dobrev departed after the sixth season concluded, though she made an appearance in the series finale. Wesley remained part of the cast through all eight seasons.

The actors recently crossed paths this spring when they attended a New York Knicks game together.
