Noah Wyle Catches Patrick Ball's Broadway Debut in 'Becky Shaw,' Joins Cast for Backstage Photos
Noah Wyle made a trip to the theater to support his television colleague Patrick Ball, catching the actor's performance in the Broadway production of Becky Shaw on Wednesday, April 22.
The 54-year-old star visited Second Stage's Hayes Theater in New York City and headed backstage following the show to spend time with Ball, 36, and the rest of the cast. The group photo opportunity included Madeline Brewer, Alden Ehrenreich, Linda Emond, and Tony Award winner Lauren Patten.
Both actors work together on The Pitt, where Wyle plays Dr. Robby and Ball portrays Dr. Langdon. The pair's on-screen dynamic took a dramatic turn during season two when Ball's character faced serious consequences after being discovered stealing drugs from the hospital. The storyline continued to unfold as his character entered post-rehab recovery and made his return to the emergency room.
The duo are set to reprise their roles when The Pitt returns for season three. The show recently confirmed a significant cast shake-up, though the details of that transition remain to be seen. Season three is expected to move the timeline forward only slightly—approximately a few months into late fall—rather than employing a major time jump. The new season is anticipated to premiere in January 2027.
Becky Shaw, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Gina Gionfriddo, is a dark comedy centered on a blind date that takes an unexpectedly chaotic turn. The production is scheduled to run through June 14, with tickets available for purchase.
