One Chicago's Lead Stars Locked In for 2026-2027 Season With New Contract Agreements

The One Chicago universe is keeping its core ensemble intact for the next chapter.
All the principal actors headlining the three shows within the NBC franchise—Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med—are confirmed to return for their respective series during the 2026-2027 broadcast season.
On the firefighting drama, Taylor Kinney and Miranda Rae Mayo have both inked new agreements to stay with the show that launched the entire franchise. Kinney will be entering his 15th season with the program, while Mayo marks her 12th season after initially joining in season four.
For the police procedural, Jason Beghe will remain in the role of Henry "Hank" Voight, continuing under the terms of his existing contract, which still carries remaining time. Since Chicago PD's debut in 2014, Beghe has been a consistent presence, and this move will bring him into his 14th season with the series.
The medical spinoff will retain Oliver Platt and S Epatha Merkerson, both of whom have signed new deals to continue their tenure. The pair stand as the only two remaining original cast members from Med's launch, having appeared in every episode since the show's inception. Platt portrays Dr. Daniel Charles while Merkerson plays Sharon Goodwin, with both heading into their 12th seasons.
The renewals for all three One Chicago programs were greenlit earlier in the year, with the official announcement delivered in March. The franchise experienced several notable departures across its shows during the previous year.
