Oscar Isaac Joining Martin Scorsese for Netflix Las Vegas Casino Series

Oscar Isaac is teaming up with legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese for an ambitious new series at Netflix. The 47-year-old actor, known for his role in Moon Knight, will star in and executive produce the untitled eight-episode drama centered on the glittering, cutthroat world of Las Vegas casinos.

Netflix announced the project on Wednesday, May 6, with the streamer confirming Isaac's involvement alongside the 83-year-old director behind Casino. The series will explore the high-pressure landscape of modern-day casino operations in the city.

Isaac's character, Robert "Bobby Red" Redman, serves as president of Las Vegas's most prominent hotel casino, navigating complex business decisions to maintain his standing and expand his influence in the competitive market. The drama examines both the glamorous and treacherous nature of contemporary Sin City.

Showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien, whose credits include Billions and Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, are handling writing and executive producer duties. The pair previously explored the gambling world through their poker-centered film Rounders and contributed to the screenplay for Ocean's Thirteen.

J.C. Chandor, who collaborated with Isaac on Triple Frontier and A Most Violent Year, will direct the opening two episodes.

The partnership represents a broader creative arrangement between Isaac and Netflix, granting the platform first-look rights on his upcoming film and television projects. Additional cast members will be announced as production moves forward. A release date has not yet been determined.
