Paul Anthony Kelly Joins 'American Horror Story' Season 13, His Second Collaboration With Ryan Murphy

Paul Anthony Kelly has joined the cast of American Horror Story's upcoming 13th season, marking his second project with producer Ryan Murphy.

The 37-year-old actor's involvement in the series was revealed Tuesday, May 12, during Disney's Upfront presentation in New York City. Alongside previously confirmed cast members Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Billie Lourd, and Gabourey Sidibe, Kelly appeared on stage to announce his participation.

"I guess every nightmare needs fresh blood…and thirteen's my lucky number," Kelly said to the assembled audience.

Kelly's addition to the horror anthology comes fresh off his starring role in Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, a limited series produced by Murphy for FX and Hulu that became a significant ratings success and has generated considerable Emmy consideration. Murphy, who created and oversees American Horror Story, also helmed that Kennedy-focused project.

Ryan Murphy had previously announced a roster of 10 major cast members for the new season on Halloween 2025. The series has remained dormant since early 2024, with production on the new installment commencing in early April 2026.
