Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon Lead Cast Reunion at Love Story Promo Event in New York

The cast of Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette came together Wednesday evening at Metrograph in New York City for an awards promotion event.

Paul Anthony Kelly, 37, and Sarah Pidgeon, 29, were among the standout attendees, posing for photographs on the red carpet. They were joined by fellow cast members Naomi Watts, Grace Gummer, Constance Zimmer, and Alessandro Nivola.

The Hulu and FX series explores the relationship between Kennedy Jr., portrayed by Kelly, and designer Carolyn Bessette, played by Pidgeon. According to the show's premise, Kennedy Jr. represented American royalty, having captivated the nation as he transitioned from childhood into adulthood as a celebrated public figure. Bessette brought her own prominence to the narrative, having climbed from a sales position to an executive role at Calvin Klein. The series chronicles how their connection sparked immediately and intensely, even as the relentless media scrutiny surrounding their romance threatened to destabilize their bond.

Pidgeon recently opened up about her approach to embodying Bessette. Speaking at Disney's Toast to Television event in Los Angeles earlier in the week, she told People about her preparation process. "I was in constant pursuit of trying to evoke her essence and stay true to the character that I had built off of all the research that I did on Carolyn," Pidgeon explained. She emphasized her commitment to honoring the historical figure through meticulous attention to both the script and her extensive research, working to blend authenticity with the character she developed.

The series is currently available to stream on Hulu. Meanwhile, the show's creator has already indicated plans for a second season, revealing which famous couple will be the focus of future episodes.

For the event, Kelly wore a complete Ferragamo ensemble paired with a Vacheron Constantin timepiece, while Pidgeon selected a Givenchy design by Sarah Burton.
