Pedro Pascal Celebrates The Mandalorian & Grogu World Premiere as Hollywood Boulevard Transforms for Star-Studded Event

The highly anticipated world premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu brought Hollywood's biggest names to the streets of Los Angeles on Thursday night, May 14. The TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX played host to the event, with a sprawling red carpet that extended across Hollywood Boulevard itself—a closure typically reserved for major industry celebrations like the Oscars.
Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver headlined the evening's star power, joined by director and co-writer Jon Favreau and other industry figures for the milestone celebration.
The film marks a significant shift for the beloved Star Wars franchise. After three seasons on Disney+, the story of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu is making the leap to cinema. The narrative picks up as the fallen Empire's remnants scatter across the galaxy, with the emerging New Republic turning to Din and Grogu for assistance in safeguarding the ideals the Rebellion fought to protect.
Pascal reflected on the personal significance of the project while working the carpet. Speaking with Access Hollywood, the actor shared his emotional connection to Star Wars and what it means to helm a film within that universe.
"I can't tell you how important it is to me to be a part of something that could be the kind of memory that it was, to see 'Stars Wars' on the big screen as a kid with my family, with my friends, repeat watches and to just have that be part of my childhood," he said.
The evening also brought an unexpected reunion when Pascal crossed paths with Gabriel Luna, his co-star from The Last of Us, on the red carpet.
