Pedro Pascal Gets Emotional Discussing Star Wars Dreams at CCXP Mexico

April 26, 2026

Pedro Pascal took the stage at CCXP Mexico on Sunday, April 26, at Mexico City's Banamex Center to promote the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu film. The 51-year-old was joined by co-writer and director Jon Favreau and Grogu for the panel discussion.

During his remarks, Pascal reflected on his lifelong connection to the Star Wars franchise, becoming visibly moved as he opened up about his formative moviegoing experiences. He spoke about how the Disney+ series The Mandalorian represented a shift from streaming to cinema, but that he'd always held onto a cherished vision for a theatrical release.

"As soon as I saw this, I knew that it would be a new authorship of a streaming experience," Pascal explained. "But I always had a dream in my heart that it would be on a big screen because that's how I was developed as a child. I went to the movie theater so much with my family, and I saw the Star Wars movies on the big screen."

The actor's emotion peaked when he continued speaking in Spanish, wiping away tears as the audience responded with enthusiastic applause. He addressed the crowd once more in Spanish before sending a kiss to the fans gathered for the event.

The panel concluded with an exclusive screening of opening footage from the upcoming film for attendees.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu arrives in theaters on May 22.
