Jon Lovett of Pod Save America Marries Ari Schwartz

Jon Lovett has officially walked down the aisle. The Pod Save America host and Crooked Media co-founder exchanged vows with Ari Schwartz on Saturday, May 23, in Santa Barbara, California.

The weekend celebration was filled with special moments. Guests enjoyed a roast honoring the couple and a variety show during the rehearsal dinner. Video footage from the reception captured one memorable tradition—the newlyweds being hoisted onto chairs as loved ones danced around them.

Lovett and Schwartz made their relationship public on Instagram in September 2024. The couple announced their engagement in March 2025 through a joint post that featured Lovett's dog—now their dog—in the announcement. "Exciting news: I got a dog. This dog. Because we got engaged," Lovett wrote.

As a co-founder of Crooked Media, which launched in 2017 alongside former Obama staffers Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor, Lovett has become a prominent voice in political media. Schwartz joined the company in 2021 as a programming and production coordinator, advancing to chief of staff in 2023. Before that role, Schwartz worked on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's congressional campaign.

The newlyweds received well-wishes from various high-profile figures following the wedding, including Josh Gad, Chris Hayes, Ira Madison, and Monica Lewinsky.
