Post Malone Postpones Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 to Complete New Album

Post Malone is delaying the start of his Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2 with Jelly Roll to prioritize completing his next album.
The 30-year-old Grammy-nominated artist shared the news via Instagram Story on Friday night, May 1, explaining that finishing new material takes precedence over launching the tour as originally scheduled. "Looking at the upcoming schedule after Stagecoach, I came to the realization that what we're trying to do, and what's possible, isn't really lining up," he wrote. "The truth is, I promised y'all beautiful people new music, and I don't have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain't ready for tour just yet, so I'm making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done."
The "Circles" artist acknowledged the inconvenience to fans planning to attend the initial shows. "That being said, I'm so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to going nuts with y'all. That THAT being said, we been making some bad–s s–t for this double album… and I can't wait to perform for y'all again."
The postponement affects six dates that were set to launch the tour, beginning with the May 13 show at El Paso's Sun Bowl Stadium. Additional canceled dates include stops in Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, and Tampa, along with the June 5 Oxford, Mississippi show. Three festival appearances have also been scrapped from the schedule.
The tour is now slated to begin on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Malone's forthcoming project, reportedly titled The Eternal Buzz, is expected to contain 50 tracks across a double album format, though further details remain under wraps.
