Asjha Cooper is expanding her presence in the Power universe with roles across two shows.

The actress first appeared in Power Book III: Raising Kanan's fifth season, episode three, initially introduced as the character Tiana. Her real identity was revealed in the following episode, which premiered Friday, July 3 on Starz, when she disclosed that her name is actually Jarita.

In the series, Jarita works as a call girl for Flossie Siegel, portrayed by Leslie Grossman. The character carries significance for longtime Power viewers—Jarita previously appeared in the original Power series during its second season, portrayed by Tasha Smith across three episodes. She is known as Kanan's romantic interest and the mother of his son, Shawn Stark.

Cooper will continue appearing as a guest star for the remainder of Raising Kanan's final season. Beyond that engagement, she has secured a series regular position in Power: Origins, the next spinoff installment in the franchise. She'll star alongside Mekai Curtis, who reprises his role as Kanan Stark in the new series.

Power: Origins centers on Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan as young, ambitious entrepreneurs navigating the New York City streets as they work to establish themselves. Production on the fourth franchise spinoff is currently taking place in New Jersey.

The series will feature three returning Power franchise actors and 13 additional cast members joining the project.
