Robert Pattinson Transforms Into Chris Hansen for A24's 'Primetime'

A24 is giving audiences their first look at Primetime, the upcoming film that casts Robert Pattinson in the role of Chris Hansen, the legendary host of the Dateline NBC series To Catch a Predator.
The teaser dropped on Wednesday, May 27, showcasing clips from the Lance Oppenheim-directed project ahead of its fall theatrical release, though a specific premiere date remains unconfirmed.
The original To Catch a Predator program became a cultural phenomenon, documenting Hansen as he confronted adult men who arrived at undercover locations believing they would encounter minors. The men had been engaged in online conversations with adults posing as children. Law enforcement typically arrested the subjects following the televised confrontations.
In the trailer, Pattinson delivers Hansen's signature lines, including the host's famous introduction: "I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC, and you're able to be a part of television history." The footage intercuts hidden camera-style scenes with clips from the film.
The cast also includes Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, Matthew Maher, Bokeem Woodbine, and Phoebe Bridgers.
Hansen himself encountered legal challenges in previous years.
