Netflix Releases First Look at 'Ransom Canyon' Season 2 Ahead of Summer Premiere

'Ransom Canyon' is heading back to Netflix this summer, and the streaming platform just gave fans their first glimpse of what's to come.

On Wednesday, April 29, Netflix released inaugural images from season two of the western drama, which reunites stars Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly for another chapter set in Texas Hill Country.

The new installment picks up six months after the first season's conclusion. Duhamel's character Staten Kirkland, a rancher, faces an uphill battle to reclaim his standing after losing his position as trustee of his family's Double K Ranch. Meanwhile, Kelly's Quinn O'Grady, a musician, confronts a pivotal crossroads: whether to stay rooted in the small town she once desperately wanted to leave or pursue opportunities in New York City's fast-moving landscape.

"A heartfelt drama set against the sweeping vistas of Texas Hill Country, Ransom Canyon follows the intersecting lives of deep-rooted families in a town where your neighbors know everyone's business," reads the season synopsis. "Are they star-crossed lovers, or fated to be together? In Ransom Canyon, true love stories are messy, complicated, and always worth the wait."

The ensemble cast expanding around the two leads includes Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, Casey W. Johnson, Patricia Clarkson, Ben Robson, Heidi Engerman, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson Cortez, Philip Winchester, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen, and Niko Guardado.

Season two of 'Ransom Canyon' drops on Netflix on Thursday, July 23, 2026. A trailer is expected to arrive soon.
