Rashee Rice is facing jail time. The 26-year-old Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver has received a 30-day jail sentence following a probation violation connected to his 2024 vehicle crash.

Rice was taken into custody after a drug test returned a positive result for THC, marijuana's primary active component. His release date is scheduled for June 16. As part of a five-year probation agreement, Rice had committed to abstaining from marijuana use.

The incident stems from a March 2024 car accident in which Rice allegedly piloted his 2020 Lamborghini Urus SUV at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, triggering a multi-vehicle collision.

Rice entered guilty pleas to two third-degree felonies, which allowed him to work out specific terms for his incarceration. The probation violation has now resulted in the ordered jail stint.

Rice also drew attention earlier this year when ex-girlfriend Dacoda Jones brought forward domestic violence allegations. Jones filed suit in Dallas County District Court in February, asserting that Rice had "physically assaulted" her at multiple locations spanning December 2023 through July 2025.

In other Kansas City Chiefs news, teammate Travis Kelce signed a three-year contract extension with the organization in March.
