Prime Video Orders Season 5 of 'Reacher' Ahead of Season 4 Premiere

Prime Video is moving full steam ahead with Reacher, greenlighting a fifth season of the action series before Season 4 has even hit the streamer.

The renewal signals the platform's confidence in the franchise as it gears up for what executives expect to be a major debut. The show draws from Lee Child's bestselling novel series and stars Alan Ritchson as the title character.

"From Lee Child's globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise," Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement. "The series' ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We're excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season Four's debut and to build on this incredible momentum. We're grateful to our outstanding creative partners, cast, and crew—Nick Santora, Alan, Lee, Skydance, and CBS Studios—for continuing to bring this world to life in such a bold and compelling way."

The fourth season will center on Gone Tomorrow, the 13th book in Child's series. The plot follows Jack Reacher after a fateful encounter with a distressed stranger on a subway train spirals into something far more sinister, pulling him into a dangerous conspiracy involving powerful adversaries.

Season 4 brings several new faces to the cast, including Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.

While an exact premiere date hasn't been announced yet, Season 4 is slated to arrive sometime this year.
