Rebecca Black Playfully Revives 15-Year-Old Jaafar Jackson Tweet

Rebecca Black has brought attention to a throwback tweet from Jaafar Jackson that dates back to the height of her early fame.
The 28-year-old artist shot to viral prominence in early 2011 following the release of her track "Friday," which at the time caught the attention of the young actor. Jackson responded to the cultural moment with a tweet that read, "Roses are red, violets are blue, if Rebecca Black wins ANY awards, Kanye you know what to do..," — a jab at the infamous 2009 MTV VMAs incident when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's award acceptance.
On May 10, Black quote tweeted Jackson's old post with a compliment: "alright but u were fierce in michael tho"
Hours later, she shared another tweet clarifying her playful intent. "guys i'm just having fun after catching a literal decade old stray <3 happy mother's day," the "TRUST!" singer wrote.
Jackson, who is currently starring as his late uncle Michael Jackson in the biopic Michael, has seen the film perform exceptionally well at the box office since its recent release. The project shattered records during its opening weekend and has maintained its theatrical run for several weeks.
