Reese Witherspoon and Lexi Minetree Coordinate in Pink at 'Elle' Series Premiere

Reese Witherspoon made a glamorous appearance on the red carpet Tuesday evening for a major television event. The 50-year-old Academy Award winner and 25-year-old actress Lexi Minetree arrived at the SVA Theater in New York City for the world premiere of the new Prime Video series 'Elle,' both dressed in coordinated pink looks that turned heads.

Witherspoon opted for a custom Monse gown for the occasion, while Minetree selected a custom Betsey Johnson dress. The two-toned fashion moment highlighted the special relationship between their characters in the show.

In the series, Minetree portrays a younger version of Witherspoon's iconic Legally Blonde character, Elle Woods. Though Witherspoon is not appearing on screen in the project, she plays an instrumental role behind the scenes as one of the show's executive producers.

The premiere drew numerous cast members to the theater, including June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Chandler Kinney, Jacob Moskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Zac Looker, David Burtka, and Danielle Chand, among others. Witherspoon's son Deacon Phillippe accompanied his mother to the event.

The new series explores Elle Woods' formative years before her Harvard Law School adventure. Set in 1995, the story follows the character through high school as she navigates complex friendships, unexpected romance, and bold fashion decisions. The narrative emphasizes Elle's close relationship with her mother and how their bond helps them face life's obstacles together, ultimately shaping the character audiences know from the films.

'Elle' debuts on Prime Video on July 1, 2026. The streaming platform has already greenlit a second season, signaling confidence in the project.
