Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe Join Forces for Son Deacon's NYU Graduation Celebration

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe came together for a special family moment on Friday when their son Deacon graduated from New York University.

The 22-year-old marked his achievement surrounded by loved ones, with both parents in attendance at the NYU ceremony on May 15. Witherspoon, 50, arrived dressed in a dark blue dress paired with a white blazer and heels, while Phillippe, 51, opted for black pants and a crisp white button-down shirt.

Following the ceremony, Deacon was spotted around New York City on a bike, still sporting his black graduation suit. His sister Ava, 26, also showed up to cheer on her brother during the celebration.

The graduation drew quite the crowd of notable attendees. Kate Hudson was there supporting her own son Ryder, 22, whom she shares with ex Chris Robinson. Hudson brought along her fiancé Danny Fujikawa, her parents Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, and their 7-year-old daughter Rani. Hudson's ex Matt Bellamy, father of her 14-year-old son Bingham, was also present at the event.

Among the speakers was Laura Dern, who delivered the commencement address. Dern is both a friend and co-star of Witherspoon's from their work together on Big Little Lies.

Witherspoon shared her pride in the moment on Instagram, posting a photo carousel from the day. "After 4years of hard work, long days , endless papers &classes, working with the greatest teachers and making new friends.. my wonderful son graduated from @nyutisch ! I'm so proud of you @deaconphillippe," she wrote in the caption.
