Riley Green is stepping into the coaching chair for 'The Voice' Season 30.

The country music artist will join the Emmy-winning competition series for its upcoming season, bringing his expertise to the judging panel. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine are confirmed to return as coaches, with a fourth coach still to be revealed.

Green has built a successful music career with chart-performing tracks including "There Was This Girl," "Half of Me," "I Wish Grandpas Never Died," and "Different 'Round Here," a collaboration with Luke Combs. He has released three studio albums throughout his career.

While this marks his inaugural role as a competition judge, Green has appeared on television before. He participated in the CMT reality series Redneck Island and made a guest appearance on the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals.

On Saturday, May 9, Green announced the news via Instagram. "I guess y'all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall," he wrote.

The post featured a video message from Clarkson congratulating him on the position. "We have never officially met… I am super stoked to coach alongside you," she said in the recording. "Welcome to The Voice. I was stoked when I heard you're going to be a coach because I actually am a super fan of your music, man, you're so good. You probably know that, because I've covered your songs, big fan. But, needless to say, fan and all, it's a competition. So I, as a future friend, I sent you something, a little gift, while you're out on the road doing shows to get your head in the game for The Voice coming up, because I think you're gonna need the practice, because team Kelly's gonna whoop that ass."

Earlier this year, Green was struck in the face with a phone during a performance in Melbourne, Australia, an incident that required five stitches.
