Robbie G.K. is making his next career move following the success of 'Heated Rivalry.'

The 29-year-old performer, who became known for playing Kip Grady in the first season of the acclaimed series, has secured a spot in the forthcoming psychological thriller Sundowning. The casting announcement came via the actor's Instagram story, where he shared his excitement with dancing emojis.

The film centers on a young musician grappling with gerontophobia—an intense fear of aging and death—that leads her to distance herself from her aging parents. Seeking a path toward redemption, she takes a job at an isolated facility focused on end-of-life care. What initially appears to be a meaningful opportunity quickly becomes unsettling as she uncovers a sinister truth lurking beneath the facility's serene exterior.

Joining G.K. on the project are Elizabeth Dulau, Susanne Wuest, and Rukiya Bernard. Ian McDonald is both writing and directing the film, with production currently taking place in Vancouver.

"Ian brings a remarkable track record in crafting character driven thrillers which tackle social and institutional structures in a haunting yet insightful way," Steven Schneider, co-founder and producer at Spooky Pictures, shared in a statement. "We can't wait to see his latest creation Sundowning realized and to have such a stellar cast, including Elizabeth, Susanne, Rukiya and Robbie, bring this chilling story of redemption and the darker realities of the care system to life for global audiences."

This represents G.K.'s first film role in three years, following his appearance in the Tubi production Marry F*** Kill, and his first major casting announcement since wrapping Heated Rivalry.
