Rosé made a glamorous statement on the Met Gala red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 4, in New York City.

The BLACKPINK member and "APT." artist donned a Saint Laurent creation designed by Anthony Vaccarello that drew inspiration from the house's spring 1998 and spring 2002 couture collections. Law Roach handled styling duties for the look, which was featured in Vogue.

The centerpiece of Rosé's ensemble was the bird motif that adorned the design. The 29-year-old explained the significance behind the artistic choice: the imagery references The Birds, a painting by Georges Braque displayed on the Louvre's ceiling, which has become a recurring element throughout Saint Laurent's legacy. Vaccarello himself incorporated the motif into his recent collection and featured it on the accompanying earrings.

"When we finally did fittings, I was blown away with the fit of the dress and how the bird sat so perfectly on Anthony's design," Rosé shared. She highlighted how a Tiffany and Co. diamond necklace was positioned to face the bird's beak, creating a harmonious interplay between the silver tones and beadwork.

The night marked a significant milestone for the BLACKPINK collective, as all members graced the carpet this year. Notably, Jisoo made her Met Gala debut at the prestigious event.
