Running Point Season 2 Shakes Up Its Roster: Cast Departures, Returns, and Fresh Faces
The second season of Running Point has arrived on Netflix, bringing notable shifts to its cast lineup.
Kate Hudson continues to headline the series in her role as Isla Gordon, the newly minted president of the Los Angeles Waves. She returns alongside the show's other principal cast members, with some performers earning promotions to series regular status.
Season two finds Isla in a transformed position. No longer the unexpected appointment to lead the franchise, she's now the focal point of attention. Following the organization's recovery from the previous year's turmoil, Isla faces the challenge of establishing her legitimacy—particularly as she works to distance herself from perceptions that she's merely a placeholder for her brother Cam (Justin Theroux). Unknown to her, Cam is working quietly behind closed doors, strategically capitalizing on her missteps in an effort to reclaim his former position.
Balancing the demands of franchise management with her personal commitments becomes increasingly complex for Isla. Each choice—whether in the boardroom or on the court—carries weight as she contends with family dynamics and board-level scrutiny. To navigate these competing pressures and emerge victorious by season's end, she must abandon her previous approach and devise an entirely new strategy.
The ensemble includes Justin Theroux, Max Greenfield, Ray Romano, Jay Ellis, Tommy Dewey, Scott MacArthur, Rob Huebel, Ken Marino, Jon Glaser, Blake Anderson, Dane DiLiegro, Adam DiMarco, Jake Picking, Brenda Song, Richa Moorjani, Scott Evans, and Robert Townsend, among others.
