Running Point Season 2 Cast Stops by SiriusXM, Brenda Song Reveals Macaulay Culkin Easter Egg

The ensemble cast of Running Point made the rounds at SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday, April 21, to build excitement for the show's highly anticipated second season.

Kate Hudson, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, and Drew Tarver appeared on SiriusXM's Front Row to discuss what fans can expect when the new season drops.

During the season 2 premiere the previous week, Song sat down with Variety and disclosed an amusing easter egg woven into the storyline. The moment involves a reference to the 1991 film My Girl, featured during a flashback scene between Song's character Ally and Hudson's character Isla. The sequence reveals the two were college roommates who initially clashed before eventually bonding over watching the classic film together.

Song credited the show's writing team for conceiving the idea. "That was all the writers," she explained. "He just signed off on it two days ago. I'm like, 'Babe, the show's premiering next week. Sign off on it.'" The reference is a nod to her longtime partner Macaulay Culkin.

Running Point season 2 arrives on Netflix on April 23. Hudson was styled in Jessica McCormack Jewelry for the studio visit.
