Ryan Lochte Unveils Coaching Role at Missouri State University in New Video

Ryan Lochte is sporting a notably different appearance these days.
The 41-year-old Olympic gold medalist shared news of his latest professional venture via Instagram this week, and his transformed look has caught attention. In the video announcement, the decorated swimmer reveals he has joined Missouri State University as an assistant swimming and diving coach.
"Swimming gave me an incredible career, memories, things I will cherish forever, but over the last couple of years something so unexpected happened," Lochte explained in the clip. "I might actually be more passionate about coaching than competing."
The athlete went on to express his belief that he may excel even more in a coaching capacity than he did as a competitor. "I traded in my googles for a stopwatch, and I'm not going to lie, it looks pretty good on me," he remarked.
His official announcement read: "Coach Ryan Lochte is heading to Missouri State University!! I am so excited to announce that I will be coaching with coach @dav_collins @missouristate! I am so excited and beyond grateful for this opportunity!! I can't wait to take @mostateswim to the next level! Let's goooo bears!!!?"
Lochte's girlfriend Molly Gillihan, whom he moved in with earlier this year, expressed her enthusiasm for his new direction in the comments. "I love you. I am beyond, beyond proud of you. This is what you were made to do!!! Congrats my lovie!" she wrote.
The announcement comes roughly a month after Lochte's ex-wife Kayla Rae Reid shared what she described as an email from him in which he referred to Gillihan as "a ten times better mother" than Reid.
