Sabrina Carpenter brought a touch of classic Hollywood glamour to the red carpet at the 2026 Met Gala on Monday, May 4, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

The "Espresso" hitmaker, 26, arrived in a striking custom Dior slit tulle creation designed by Jonathan Anderson that featured an inventive construction using film strips as its core material. She completed the ensemble with a sparkling diamond headpiece and iconic Christian Louboutin heels.

The singer's sartorial choice carried special significance—the dress was conceived as a tribute to Audrey Hepburn's beloved 1954 film Sabrina. Upon close inspection, viewers can spot images of co-stars Humphrey Bogart and William Holden woven throughout the garment. Carpenter shared with Vogue that this connection to the classic film inspired the design direction.

This year's Met Gala celebrates the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Art exhibition, which examines "the 'centrality of the dressed body' through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met's extensive collection." The evening's theme, "Fashion is Art," drew hundreds of A-list celebrities to the prestigious event.

The gala's co-chairs included Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
