Sara Bareilles Announces New Music and Tour Plans After Seven-Year Break

Sara Bareilles is ready to make her return to the music scene. More than seven years have passed since the Grammy winner's last album, and she's now signaling that fresh material is on the horizon.

Through her website and social media channels, Bareilles teased an imminent announcement, sharing an exclusive video for newsletter subscribers. In the clip, she outlined her creative comeback: "Something's coming soon. This is your boiler plate teaser video. I'm finally, after many years, making art again. Music, specifically, heard of it? Making music, making records, taking pictures about it, making videos, going on tour, all kinds of things are happening and something big is coming soon."

The singer's last full-length project, Amidst the Chaos, arrived in April 2019 with standout tracks including "Fire," "No Such Thing," and "Armor." In 2020, Bareilles earned her first Grammy Award for "Saint Honesty," which won in the Best American Roots Performance category.

While she hasn't mounted a traditional tour recently, Bareilles did perform a series of symphony concerts in 2024, including appearances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

With new music and touring now in the works, fans won't have to wait much longer for details.
