Sarah Pidgeon, Paul Anthony Kelly, and Dree Hemingway Make Bold Fashion Statements at 2026 Met Gala

The Monday evening gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York became a showcase for some of cinema's rising stars as they arrived in their finest attire for the year's most prestigious fashion event.
The 29-year-old Sarah Pidgeon commanded attention in a strapless two-piece design from Loewe, crafted from chartreuse matte satin. The look featured a twisted bandeau top paired with a sleek column skirt. Speaking with Vogue, Pidgeon described the ensemble as "very whimsical, but very powerful at the same time, and very architectural."
Paul Anthony Kelly, 37, brought a sophisticated edge to the proceedings with a dark purple velvet smoking jacket from Dior, layered over a loosely buttoned white shirt and black trousers. During an interview with La La Anthony on Vogue's livestream coverage, Kelly characterized his overall aesthetic as "dastardly."
Dree Hemingway, 38, turned heads in a show-stopping Valentino gown featuring sparkling silverish-gold tones and an eye-catching dramatic tulle collar. The look was completed with Pandora jewelry.
This year's Met Gala centered on the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Art exhibition, which examines "the 'centrality of the dressed body' through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met's extensive collection." The evening's dress code was "Fashion is Art," with co-chairs including Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
