The sketch comedy phenomenon is heading back for more. Sky and Universal Television Alternative Studio announced on Thursday that they've greenlit Saturday Night Live UK for a second season.

Lorne Michaels, the show's creator and executive producer on the UK adaptation, expressed enthusiasm about the renewal. "I'm incredibly proud of our team and the show. It keeps getting better every week. I'm grateful to Dana Strong and Sky for believing in and supporting SNL UK. I'm excited for the season ahead," he said in a statement.

The show, which launched in March 2026, has already cycled through an impressive lineup of hosts during its inaugural run. Tina Fey helmed the premiere episode, followed by appearances from Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Jack Whitehall, Nicola Coughlan, and Aimee Lou Wood.

Two final episodes remain in the current season. Hannah Waddingham will take the hosting duties for the May 9 broadcast, with Myles Smith as the musical guest. The season concludes on May 16 with Ncuti Gatwa hosting and Holly Humderstone performing.

Season two has received a 12-episode order and is slated to arrive in fall 2026. The format maintains its dual-platform strategy, with new episodes becoming available on Peacock the day following their Sky One broadcast in the UK.
