Scarpetta Season 2 Expands Cast with David Arquette, Holland Taylor, and Seven Others

The second season of Prime Video's crime thriller Scarpetta is taking shape with a significant expansion to its ensemble. Nine actors have joined the cast in recurring roles, bringing fresh talent to the Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis-led series.
Among the newcomers are David Arquette and Holland Taylor, alongside Jodi Balfour, William Zabka, Kim Dickens, Troy Garity, Jerod Haynes, Stella Baker, and Michael "Killer Mike" Render. Specific character details for these additions have not yet been revealed.
Filming for season two commenced in March in Nashville, with the production already well underway. Four of the show's returning stars recently shared a behind-the-scenes video from the set, giving fans a glimpse of the work in progress.
The series, adapted from Patricia Cromwell's novels, centers on Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a determined medical examiner who advocates for victims while pursuing a serial killer connected to a case from 28 years prior. The ensemble also features returning cast members Simon Baker, Bobby Cannavale, Ariana DeBose, Amanda Righetti, Jake Cannavale, and Hunter Parrish.
Scarpetta's debut season launched on March 11, quickly establishing itself as a major draw for the platform. Within 28 days of its release, the first season accumulated 34 million views, according to Amazon's viewership data.
